What Bonit is

Bonit is a sleep-coaching app for parents of young children. To coach well, it needs some information about you and your child. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

• Account data — your email address (or the identity shared by Apple/Google when you sign in with them) and your language preference.
• Child profile — the name, date of birth, gender (optional), and sleep context you enter during onboarding (sleeping arrangement, feeding, temperament answers). You choose what to share; it is used solely to personalize the sleep plan and coaching.
• Sleep progress — nightly recaps you record or type (e.g. bedtime, wake-ups, how the night went) and your conversations with the coach.
• Voice recordings — if you record a voice recap, the audio is transcribed and then discarded. We do not store audio.
• Purchase information — your subscription status (active, expired, trial). Payment itself is processed entirely by Apple or Google; we never see or store your card details.
• Product analytics— usage events (e.g. “onboarding completed”) and session replays of how the app is used, with all text you type, names, and images masked out before anything is recorded. These help us understand which features work and find broken screens. No advertising identifiers, no ad tracking.
• Crash and performance data — technical diagnostics (error reports, device model, OS version) when the app crashes or misbehaves, so we can fix it. These are not linked to your identity.

How it is processed

Your data is stored with Supabase (Postgres, with row-level security so only your account can read your records). Coaching replies and recap summaries are generated by Anthropic’s Claude models; the content you share with the coach is sent to Anthropic to produce those replies and is governed by Anthropic’s commercial data terms (not used to train their models). Voice recaps are transcribed by Deepgram and the audio is not retained. Usage events and masked session replays are processed by PostHog. Crash diagnostics are processed by Sentry. Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat, using purchase data from Apple or Google. All of these providers act as service providers on our behalf — they may not use your data for their own purposes.

What we never do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not show ads or share data with advertisers.
• We do not retain voice audio after transcription.

Your choices

You can request a copy of your data or full deletion of your account and all associated records at any time by emailing hello@bonit.app. Deletion removes your account, child profile, progress history, and chat records.

Children

Bonit is for parents and caregivers — adults — and is not directed at children. Child profile information is provided by you, the parent, for the sole purpose of personalizing sleep coaching.
